Liam O’Flaherty, Furniture Designer & Maker

Growing up I've always had a keen interest for art and design. I began my journey into fine furniture making as a student back in 2021 at ATU Letterfrack. I graduated at the end of 2025 with a level 8 degree in furniture design and manufacture. During my time at Letterfrack I developed my own skills and values centred on making furniture with a purpose. Now, I am looking to progress my career as a furniture maker as I establish my own workshop and continue to make meaningful pieces, that last.

Clean, functional, and tactile are words that I would use to best describe my design philosophy. My work follows a theme of intriguing forms and tactile surfaces, which allows the user to feel a deeper connection to each material and stimulate positive interactions as they use my furniture.
